SUMMARY & OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Engineer is the intermediary between the Client and the Business Unit and ensures a successful business relationship. The Sales Engineer manages the sales process, closes the deal, and manages the contract with the Client until completion of the project up until the final payment has been received.

Responsibilities extend over 5 areas: commercial, technical, financial, management and quality; all in accordance with company policy and guidelines.

One or more Project Managers may be assigned to a Sales Engineer. Alternatively, a Sales Engineer may act in a Project Manager Role on specific projects due to strategic needs or other requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Adhere to the VINCI Energies Quartz Management Philosophy
  • Maintain positive business relationships with Clients
  • Develops a Sustainable Client Strategy for the years to come
  • Manages the commercial process with Clients and organizes the internal tender process, including the necessary authorization process for approval of an offer
  • Manages or supervises the contract during the complete execution of the project up to the receival of the last payment of the Client
  • Connects, engages, and contributes positively within the VINCI Energies network
  • Supports the Business Unit General Manager in developing the Business Unit Strategy
  • Supports the Business Unit General Manager in evaluating the performance and growth of individual employees
  • Supports the dissemination of Group-guidelines, values, and key-principles of the group
  • Prepare sales plan and requirement forecast for upcoming fiscal year
  • Generate revenue from new & existing customers
  • Provide input and direction on markets that align with INP skills
  • Report results, advertise, provide input
  • Provide monthly information and meet with area sales representatives
  • Assist accounting in payment collection
  • Provide project management assistance
  • Share customer concerns with our team of engineers, project managers, and management
  • Some domestic travel & overnights necessary from time to time

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in technical background with an aptitude for sales and business administration. Five years of related experience with progressive management experience.
