SUMMARY & OBJECTIVE:
The Mechatronics/Electrical Engineer Intern will have the opportunity to learn and be mentored by a Senior Engineers with the goal to continue and complete ongoing projects. Duties may include tasks such as assisting with installation and commissioning of subsystems, document job activities through written reports, learns Controls, Automation and Drives and visit customer sites.
This is a paid part-time internship and potentially a long term. The hours are flexible and to be determined.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic knowledge of either VFDs and/or automation systems
- PLC programming
- Analyzes and interprets data
- Hands on experience with Electrical installation
- Ability and desire to self/guided learn new concepts and skills quickly
- Ability to conceptualize and implement the design of complex mechanisms
- Receives and follows direction
- Reports progress and status
- Completes assigned tasks on time
QUALIFICATION:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior year students enrolled in Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering studies
- Good academic records
- Documentation skills
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
- Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills
- Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)
